How
is iRondo Licensed?
An iRondo license entitles
the user to run the software on one CPU, and provides
access to all the profiles that are included in
the product. The license can reside on the computer or on a USB Dongle.
How can I monitor
multiple input directories?
iRondo monitors just one input
directory each run. To monitor additional directories,
execute additional instances of the program, and
configure them to monitor the other directories.
This can be done from the command line, or by
clicking again on the icon. Each instance of iRondo
is independent from the other, and generates a
separate log file. The user should ensure that
they do not use common output directories to avoid
collisions.
What is the difference between Barcode Grouping
and Renaming?
The Barcode Grouping profile creates a single batch file
(group) of images based on a cover page with
a barcode, and puts all the pages into that file.
The Barcode Renaming profile creates a file per page based
on the expectation that every page of the input
carries a proper barcode. There is also the possibility
to create an exception if a page is encountered
that does not have a barcode.
Can iRondo handle Microfilm, or Large Format images?
iRondo can accept any image type, no matter its size, or from what source it was scanned. iRondo expects positive images, which means that negative scans need first to be inverted. Service Bureaus use iRondo to clean up microfilm scans of old government documents.
What image file types can iRondo handle?
iRondo can accept TIFF images at this release (V1.3). It can output either TIFF or PDF formats. The TIFF images may contain bitonal, grayscale or color images. In the future other formats will be supported. |
